The question is often asked: "Which Morse key would you recommend?" The feel, the hands of the operators, and habits are very different, so no "standard recommendation" can be given. What should you pay attention to when feeling?
Well, this is best conveyed in a personal meeting with your own key in action (tips). In any case, give the key enough free space on the table and try to optimize the arm/hand posture towards relaxation. The key used: hand-operated single-lever or two-lever key (squeeze), the electronic operating mode (Mode A, B, U, etc.), all influence the keying technique. Here too, radio amateurs must be able to react immediately from the head. This must be practiced. Through intensive keying training and optimizing the key settings, you can achieve a steady flow of Morse code with any of the commercially available keys mentioned. The feeling - this key fits well in my hand, remains! But maybe it's just the sharp edge of the paddle or the wide lever distance of a squeeze key that doesn't fit? What am I aiming for? Is a single-lever key, etc., enough for me?
